I bet you’re getting super excited about the fact that:

  • By planning your promotions in advance
  • It will make it simpler to create the right content based on those promotions
  • Which will lead your people to buy your promotions (product, service, or affiliate offer).


But the real secret to success is to work on content for your site and the paid products you want to promote simultaneously. 


As you’ve learned so far, that can be done by repurposing every type of content you create into different forms of content including content for sale in the form of information products. It doesn’t matter what niche you’re in, this process works.

If you have enough content to publish as blog posts, videos, podcasts and so forth then you have enough content to create information products. 


It’s easy when you really think about it. Boiled down the process is simple.

  1. Plan a Blog Series 
  2. Compile & Publish
  3. Promote
  4. Earn
  5. Repeat

But, you don’t really have to tell your audience the blog posts are a series (like this is a 30 Day challenge), and you don’t have to do one series at a time. If you publish content to your blog five days a week, you could technically be working on five information products at a time. 


The easiest way to accomplish this is to get organized.

Like most things that work, even getting organized requires planning.


Develop an Editorial Content Calendar - Using a WordPress plugin or a spreadsheet. You input the due dates or publishing date for every piece of content you’ve planned for at least the next 90 days.


Use a Planner – In addition to your editorial calendar, it’s essential that you have in place a calendar or planner of all the other things you need to do including the writing/creating process for all the content you want to develop.

The first things that go in your planner are all the things in your life that cannot be rescheduled. For example, you can’t reschedule your kids’ sporting events or family's birthday. The first thing I add in is my vacations.

Then you plan your business activities.


Set Deadlines – For every single project you want to finish it’s imperative that you set deadlines. Set not only the final deadline or due date, set mini-deadlines for parts of bigger projects.

For example, if you want to launch the next info product in 30 days you’ll need to:

  • Determine how many blog posts will go in the series
  • When you’ll write them
  • When they’ll be published
  • When you will launch the new product


List Daily Tasks – From your planner information you should be able to easily create a to-do list for each day you’ve set aside to do the work. Some online planners allow you to print out a daily to-do list or to check off the things you get done as you get them done to help you stick to your plan. 


Store Your Files Safely – One barrier to good organization for online business owners is file organization.

Use a cloud-based storage solution like Dropbox to keep your files. That way you don’t have to rely on your own computer for the information if it should break. Plus, you can keep the files organized in such a way that you can find them. For example, name them based on due dates and project names.


Keep Notes – As you work new ideas will come to mind. Take note of them using a stick pad or notepad. You can do this physically or electronically. I make a note on my phone. At the end of the workday organize those notes so that you can easily use them later.


Working on content for your site and paid products simultaneously is easy if you’re going to use the content for your website and the content you create for the product.

It’s an excellent way to repurpose content you are creating so that you don’t have to start from scratch each time you want to create an information product.
